Terminal City Brewing is Vancouver’s premier Brew-On Premise(s) establishment.
At Terminal City Brewing, we’ve been helping Vancouverites craft incredible beer, wine, and cider since 1993. We started out as West Coast U Brew, but as we grew and evolved, so did our name. In the late 2000s, we rebranded to Terminal City Brewing, a nod to Vancouver’s historic nickname and our prime location at the corner of Clark Drive and Terminal Avenue.
What sets us apart is the hands-on experience we offer. When you brew with us, you’re part of the process, which not only makes your creations uniquely yours but also tax-free. That’s just one of the perks of getting involved and crafting something personal.
We’re all about empowering our customers to explore the art of brewing. Whether it’s beer, wine, or cider, we provide top-quality ingredients, expert guidance, and a welcoming space for you to experiment and enjoy. The Terminal City Brewing Crew

Owner, Bryn
I’ve been the proud owner of Terminal City Brewing since 2019, but I was a customer here for 12 years prior. I started using U-brew services back in the late 1990s and from then on I was hooked. After over two decades working in the IT world, I was ready to move on and work on my passions – I love being hands on and fixing things, and I love helping others experience the joy of brewing.
Running Terminal City Brewing is as much about community as it is about quality. Knowing most of my customers by name and being part of each person’s journey, from choosing a batch to the final bottling day, makes this business truly fulfilling.

Lead Brewer, Josh
Josh joined Terminal City Brewing in 2017 after more than six years brewing in Ontario. Since then, he’s been central to our transition to all-grain brewing, allowing us to produce the quality craft beer our customers love.
As our head brewer, Josh is behind every recipe, keeping the brewhouse spotless and each batch brewed to perfection. A devoted New Jersey Devils fan, Josh also enjoys winding down with stand-up comedy.

Wine Lead, Ben
Ben has been a dedicated part of Terminal City Brewing since 2005, bringing nearly two decades of expertise to our winemaking process.
Known for his meticulous attention to detail, Ben has crafted well over 10,000 batches with precision, making sure every bottle meets our high standards. He’s the go-to person for customers looking to explore new wine varieties or perfect their favorite styles.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys biking around Vancouver and watching movies, making him as well-rounded as the wines he helps create.

Production Lead, Trevor
Originally from Nova Scotia, Trevor joined Terminal City Brewing (then known as West Coast U-Brew) not long after we first opened in 1993.
Over the years, he’s taken on countless roles—from maintaining equipment to winemaking—always stepping up to keep things running smoothly.
Today, he focuses on cellaring, filtering, kegging, and carbonating each batch so it’s ready for customers to bottle. A dedicated hockey fan with a love for travel, Trevor enjoys visiting Brazil whenever he can.

Homebrew Lead, Vincent
Vincent joined Terminal City Brewing in 2021, bringing over 20 years of experience from his time at Safeway.
His expertise has been a fantastic addition to our homebrew store, where he’s always ready to help customers and answer any questions they might have.
Vincent is a versatile team player, filling in wherever needed and even stepping in to run the brewhouse when Josh is away. Friendly, knowledgeable, and committed to great service, Vincent ensures our customers have a top-notch experience every time they visit.
Our Setup
Our 5bbl Brewhouse allows us to make your wort completely from scratch – no kits, no syrups, no additives.
Our impressive 300,000 BTU steam boiler efficiently powers our mash tun and 5bbl brew kettle, preventing burning and overcooking with indirect heating. We have dedicated temperature-controlled rooms optimized for fermentation and conditioning, maintaining the ideal environment for your brews. Additionally, we offer 2 free bottle sanitizers and a spacious stainless beer bottling table with 4 stations, making the bottling process smooth and efficient.
For winemakers, we offer a dedicated fermentation room meticulously kept at a steady temperature to ensure happy yeast and optimal fermentation. With our professional filtration and measuring equipment, your wine is expertly cared for at every stage, from fermentation to bottling. Our pneumatic wine pumps and corking machines make the bottling process a breeze, ensuring convenience and precision.
With nearly 5000 sq ft of space, we provide ample free parking at the back and a convenient loading bay at the front, facilitating easy (un)loading of all your bottles.

Strictly All-Grain BEER!
We love our all-grain full mash brews.
Unlike many other U-Brew facilities, we use no extracts in our products. No kits, no syrups, just freshly milled malted barley from Canada, Germany and the UK. Our unique brewing system allows us to customize each batch with specialty grain and hops chosen specifically for each beer being made. We can adjust wort to match your taste and can easily add your own specialty ingredients – like it says on our window, it’s As Craft As It Gets!

We use only the finest wine kits available.
Since we can’t harvest and blend our own grapes, we rely on our specialist partners to create the starting point for our wines. We carry wines from these providers:

Our suppliers create the perfect blend of grapes to give the very best flavour and body possible in each wine style. Our WineXpert Classic, Reserve and Private Reserve series are crafted by Peller Estates, a cross-Canada wine making company with over 50 years of experience and a solid place in liquor stores everywhere.

These apples, meticulously pressed at a small family business in Chilliwack, BC, form the foundation of our authentic and flavorful craft cider.
What sets our cider apart is its pure simplicity. We believe in letting the natural flavors shine through, which is why our cider contains no sweeteners or additives. It finishes dry, allowing the inherent qualities of the apples to take center stage, offering a crisp and refreshing taste experience.
We take pride in making our cider completely from scratch, supporting the local economy by partnering with Triple Jim’s Juice, a trusted supplier of high-quality juice made from BC apples. We emphasize a hands-on approach, eschewing kits or syrups, to ensure that every batch of our craft cider reflects our unwavering commitment to authenticity and taste.
