We’re excited to introduce something fresh on the wine front—WineXpert Classic Light. This new line of wine is designed for those who want a lighter option without giving up flavour or enjoyment. With 7% alcohol and fewer calories per glass than our regular wines, these new kits are perfect for sipping without overthinking it.
Whether you’re looking to cut back a bit, want something sessionable, or just like the idea of enjoying a glass (or two) without the usual weight, WineXpert Classic Light fits the bill.
Lower Alcohol, Fewer Calories, No Compromises
At just 7% ABV, Classic Light wines are noticeably lighter than our regular batches, which typically land around 11.5–13%. But don’t let the lower number fool you—these wines still deliver great character and easy-drinking style. Because alcohol is one of the main contributors to calories in wine, the reduction means you’re also getting fewer calories per pour. It’s a win-win.
They’re a great choice for afternoon gatherings, hot weather sipping, or just a casual glass with dinner when you don’t want something heavy. If you’re tracking your intake, being mindful of alcohol, or just prefer a gentler option, these are for you.
Two Styles to Choose From
The WineXpert Classic Light series is launching with two approachable and refreshing styles:

Light Pinot Grigio –Soft green apple, lemon and lime. Think easy white sipper with crisp acidity and a light, dry finish.

Light Cabernet Sauvignon– Smooth blackberry and black cherry flavours. Dry and easy-drinking without the tannic punch.
Each style is balanced, food-friendly, and made to be enjoyed young. These are not wines you need to age—just bottle and enjoy.
Made for Summer (But We Won’t Judge if You Make Them Year-Round)
These lighter wines are ideal for patios, picnics, BBQs, or pretty much any warm-weather excuse you can think of. But if you’re someone who likes a lower-alcohol option in general, they’re also a great staple to keep on hand year-round.
Every batch yields about 29 bottles and is ready in just 4 weeks. Like all our WineXpert Classic kits, they’re made with premium grape concentrate, with carefully chosen yeasts and finings included to make the process easy.
