Brewer’s Best Carbonation Drops – Bottle Conditioning Tablets
Brewer’s Best Carbonation Drops make bottle conditioning simple, clean, and consistent. These pre-measured tablets are designed to be dropped directly into each bottle before filling, eliminating the need to measure, dissolve, or batch-prime sugar separately.
Bottle carbonation works by adding a small, controlled amount of fermentable sugar at bottling time. The remaining yeast in suspension consumes that sugar inside the sealed bottle, producing natural carbonation. Traditionally, this involves measuring priming sugar, dissolving it in water, and carefully mixing it into the full batch. While effective, that method introduces more steps and more room for uneven mixing.
Carbonation drops remove the guesswork entirely. Just add:
-
1 tablet per 12 oz / 355 mL bottle
-
2 tablets per 22 oz / 650 mL bottle
Then fill and cap as usual. Each package contains approximately 54 tablets, making it easy to plan your bottling day.
These tablets are sized to fit through the neck of a standard glass beer bottle, so there’s no crushing or cutting required. They dissolve during conditioning and provide consistent, predictable carbonation from bottle to bottle.
Many brewers prefer carbonation drops over straight dextrose because they:
-
Eliminate measuring errors
-
Reduce the risk of uneven carbonation
-
Simplify bottling day
-
Avoid transferring beer into a separate bottling bucket
They’re especially helpful for small batches, split batches, test batches, or when bottling directly from a fermenter without bulk priming.
