Something Special for Your Wine Cellar: The WineXpert LE26 Collection

It’s not every day that you get to make a wine that’s only available once. That’s one of the things I love about the WineXpert Limited Edition series.

Last year was our first year really getting behind these wines at Terminal City Brewing, and I have to say, it’s been a fantastic experience. We’ve always loved our regular WineXpert lineup, but the Limited Edition wines bring something a little different to the table. They’re an opportunity to try unique blends, explore different wine regions, and add something genuinely special to your collection.

And after enjoying several of last year’s wines myself, I’m pretty excited about what’s coming next.

What Makes These Wines So Special?

Every year, WineXpert puts together a small collection of wines that you won’t find in their regular lineup.

Rather than producing the same wines year after year, the Limited Edition program is built around carefully selected grapes and distinctive blends that showcase what’s available for that particular release.

Some of these grapes are only available in limited quantities. There’s enough to create something really interesting, but not enough to keep producing these wines year-round. So the experts at Andrew Peller Limited put their knowledge and experience to work, creating special blends that make the most of these opportunities.

That’s part of what makes the series so much fun. You get to make something that might never be offered again.

And while I always enjoy trying something new, there’s something reassuring about knowing that an experienced team of winemakers has done the work of bringing these varieties together. These aren’t just unusual combinations for the sake of being different. They’re thoughtfully crafted wines designed to be really enjoyable.

Red Wine

I’ve Been Enjoying Last Year’s Collection

I’ve had the chance to spend some time with several of the LE25 wines, and they’ve been a real treat.

Two of my favourites so far have been the Malbec Cabernet and the Blanc de Noir. They’re very different wines, but both have really impressed me with their depth, complexity, and overall character.

One of the things I’ve particularly enjoyed is how much is going on in the glass. These are wines that reward taking a little time to appreciate them. There’s plenty of fruit, but also layers of flavour and structure that make them interesting from the first sip to the last.

I’ve still got my Pacific Quartet Red waiting in the cellar. I’m giving that one a little more time to develop before I dive in, and I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s like after some aging.

That’s another part of the fun for me. You don’t have to open everything as soon as it’s ready. Some wines are wonderful to enjoy relatively young, while others give you the opportunity to build a little collection and discover how they change over time.

Wine That’s Worth Making an Occasion For

I drink plenty of wine from our regular lineup, and I’m very happy with it. Those are the wines I keep around for everyday enjoyment.

But I also love having something a little special tucked away.

When friends come over for dinner, or we’re putting together a really good meal, it’s nice to be able to pull out something different. Something with a bit of a story behind it.

That’s where these Limited Edition wines really shine for me.

It’s not necessarily about saving them for some enormous celebration. Sometimes the occasion is simply having a few good friends around the table and wanting to share something you’ve been looking forward to.

And there’s a certain satisfaction in opening a bottle of wine that you helped create yourself.

Exceptional Wine, Fantastic Value

We regularly make wines that I’m genuinely proud to serve to friends and family, and the Limited Edition series takes that experience in an exciting direction.

In terms of depth, complexity, and enjoyment, I’ve found these special releases compare very favourably with some of the premium wines I’ve purchased from liquor stores.

And because you’re involved in making your own wine, you get to enjoy that quality while making a smart choice about how you stock your cellar.

For me, that’s a pretty compelling combination.

You’re not simply choosing another bottle off a shelf. You’re selecting a wine that appeals to you, taking part in creating it, and building a collection that’s uniquely yours.

A Little Something to Look Forward To

I think one of the nicest things about the Limited Edition series is that it gives you something to anticipate.

You choose the wines that interest you, we help you get everything started when each release arrives, and before long you’ve got something special to add to your wine rack.

You might discover a new favourite. You might find a wine that becomes your go-to for dinner parties. Or you might set a few bottles aside and rediscover them a year or two down the road.

That’s what makes this series so rewarding.

We only have a limited opportunity to order these wines, and preorders close November 2, 2026. Once the ordering window closes, we can’t count on getting more.

Whether you’re interested in a single wine or you’d like to explore the entire collection, we’d love to help you choose.
