Equinox Pale Ale: A Timeless All-Grain Classic

Equinox Pale Ale is one of our original craft beer recipes, showcasing the art of all-grain brewing at its finest. As a dry-hopped version of our popular Coastal Pale Ale, Equinox takes the North American Pale Ale style to new heights by emphasizing bold aromas without adding extra bitterness.

Our Thoughtfully Crafted Grain Bill

The heart of Equinox Pale Ale lies in its fabulous all-grain goodness. A Canadian 2-Row base provides a clean, crisp foundation, while Simms Finest Maris Otter adds depth and a subtle malty sweetness. Carafoam contributes to the creamy head and mouthfeel, with Crystal Medium lending a touch of caramel richness and Munich Light enhancing the beer’s golden hue and toasty undertones. Together, these grains create a perfectly balanced backdrop for the hops to shine.

Dry-Hopped for Unmatched Aroma

At the heart of Equinox Pale Ale is the classic Cascade hop, a cornerstone of the North American Pale Ale tradition. By dry-hopping with Cascade after fermentation, we capture its floral and citrusy aroma, giving this ale its signature fragrant character. Supporting hops—Chinook, Northern Brewer, and Willamette—provide a balanced foundation of herbal, piney, and earthy notes, rounding out a flavor profile that’s both refreshing and complex.

A Core Representation of Our Craft

Equinox Pale Ale holds a special place in our brewing history. It’s not only one of our original all-grain recipes but also the foundation for many of the North American Pale Ales we’ve developed over the years. This beer represents what we do best: crafting approachable, flavorful ales that reflect our passion for brewing. Whether it’s your first time trying Equinox or your hundredth pint, it’s a beer that continues to define who we are.
